In this KAG competitive match, the debuting Calista takes on Rosie (who claims to be 3-0) in a key match up in the KAG competitive match division.

Round one begins with Rosie scoring a quick takedown, but Calista quickly gets up and gets a couple of quick takedowns on Rosie. Calista briefly gets Rosie’s back before her and Rosie come face to face, Rosie then gets a quick takedown. Rosie starts getting Calista’s back, but Calista continually defends herself from further punishment from Rosie. After a quick restart, Rosie quickly gets Calista’s back once again and gains control of her arm, Calista nearly mounts Rosie afterwards, but Rosie easily regains control to get Calista’s back again as round one concludes.

Round two begins with both girls struggling to gain the advantage until Rosie gets Calista’s back and eventually takes her down. Rosie then mounts Calista on the back and secures a rear naked choke hold that forces Calista to tap out and Rosie gets a point. The round continues with Rosie quickly putting Calista on the ground and scoring an ultra fast five count pin to get a second point as the second round concludes.

Round three begins with Rosie easily getting Calista’s back and working her arm, Rosie then releases her control and they start over again. Rosie gets control again by putting Calista in a headlock, but Calista is able to recover by forcing Rosie on the ground for a near pin. After a restart, Rosie quickly puts Calista on her back and eventually tires Calista out to score another pin fall and third point. The round continues with Rosie easily getting Calista’s back and applying a key lock to her arm for a fast submission and fourth point for Rosie as the round ends.

Round four begins with Rosie again getting the back of Calista, but Calista uses Rosie’s momentum against her for a quick takedown. Rosie easily gets back up and gets Calista’s back again and then transitioning to the north/south positioning. Calista recovers by nearly getting a pin fall on Rosie, but Rosie recovers by quickly getting a takedown on Calista. Rosie then applies a kimura lock on Calista verbally taps out a mere second or two after the hold is applied to give Rosie a fifth point as the round finishes.

With one round remaining and a five point lead, will Rosie continue dominating her opponent or will Calista find a way to pull out a victory?

Match Thoughts: This competitive match ended up using an Ultimate Fighting Championship style round system as opposed to the first competitive match I covered. Rosie was so dominating that you would actually think that she was trained in some form of mixed martial arts, while Calista was like a deer in the headlights whenever Rosie was near.
